The comedic timing was all good in this interview of October 1975. Ms Struthers overheard his quip about being on drugs. You could sense the attraction she had for him by the end. Michael Parkinson later commented on this in an interview. The comb over hairdo and patched up shaving nicks was one of Gary MacDonald's comedic devices as an interviewer. Much loved in the late seventies in Australia and he did win the (gold) logie (1976) for The Norman Gunston Show which included the interviews.
